Hi, I'm Xuan, founder of EatLa

Growing up in China, I knew how diverse and exciting Chinese food is, every region had its own dishes and flavours.

When I moved to the UK, I realised that only a small part of that variety had made its way here. After lockdown, a trip back to China reignited my love for the authentic regional flavours I’d missed and inspired me to create EatLa.

EatLa is about discovery. The name “EatLa” comes from the Chinese phrase “开饭啦” (Kai Fan La), meaning “Let’s eat!” - a joyful call that brings people together around the table to share good food.

We introduce food lovers to a lesser-known side of Chinese cuisine - Chinese BBQ. Few outside of China realise how diverse and exciting it can be. Our mission is to make Chinese BBQ a new favourite, opening the door to a journey through China’s extraordinary culinary landscape. 

Each product is rooted in distinctive regional flavours and techniques, with authenticity and quality at the heart of everything we do. We source ingredients inspired by their native origins and work with local manufacturers to ensure every batch delivers delicious tastes.
